Accident d'OC Transpo: les proches d'une survivante demandent de l'aide

The relatives of a survivor of the tragedy of Westboro, who lost a leg, joining forces to come and help him in this ordeal.

The friends of Julie Davis have published a page on the site sociofinancement GoFundMe to raise$ 30,000, which must be used to recover from her many surgeries suffered this week-end.

The woman was aboard the double-decker bus, on route 269, when the driver of the vehicle crashed into the shelter of the station Westboro, on the line of the Transitway, at 15: 50 on Friday.

The passenger, like many others, headed to Kanata.

“Rushed to the hospital, writes his friend Andrea, she has already undergone two surgeries. She lost the right leg, but we were able to save his left leg. However, we do not know the extent to which nerves have been affected. Several other surgeries are planned.”

Ms. Davis also has blood clots in the lungs, and lies in a coma, says the friend.

“This devastating accident has changed their lives (the victim and her husband Geoff) forever.”

Monday noon, a little more than$ 25,000 had been raised.
