A broken water main which occurred on Monday morning forcing the closure of a stretch of the boulevard Saint-René Ouest, Gatineau sector.

The incident occurred between the Main streets and Gauthier. Until the situation returns in the order, motorists must take a detour by the rue Duquette.

The City of Gatineau indicates that blue-collar workers are working to repair the breach in the shortest possible time.

The municipal authorities are warning that a severe drop in water pressure can be observed in the sector. The affected citizens will be notified by a door hanger in the event that a boil is issued.

Another water main breaks, minor in this case, occurred on Monday morning in front of the 196, boulevard Mont-Blue, in the Hull sector. Fifteen homes are affected and there is no hindrance to the traffic. The situation should return to normal shortly, said.
