MONTREAL — The Fondation Jean Lapointe is estimated that over 10 000 people will meet the challenge “28 days without alcohol”, which starts on the 1st of February.
This year, participants have three choices: don’t drink alcohol Monday through Thursday, not Friday to Sunday, or avoid eating for the entire month of February.
The Foundation requests a donation of $ 28, and the funds collected will be used to activities of prevention of the consumption of alcohol, cannabis and other drug use among high school students. More than 80 000 young people are encountered annually within the framework of prevention workshops.
The Foundation account again this year on ambassadors to support the challenge, which chef Martin Juneau and the host Jean-Philippe Wauthier.
The Fondation Jean Lapointe has been created 35 years ago. She became a leader of the fight against alcoholism and addiction. It actively supports the Maison Jean Lapointe, a rehabilitation centre for drug addicts.
